Meanings

• 〜わけだ: that’s why / no wonder (logical conclusion).
• 〜わけではない: doesn’t mean that… (partial negation).
• 〜わけにはいかない: cannot (due to social/moral reasons).

Examples

• この道は 工事中か。通れない わけだ。— Oh, that’s why we can’t pass.
• 辛い 物が 嫌い なわけではない が、今日は お腹の 調子が よくない。
• 明日は 大事な 試験が あるから、遊んでいる わけにはいかない。
